I’ve found the boundary is easiest to hold when AI is used for communication tasks rather than content generation: for example, I use GAAbstract to turn the conclusions I’ve already written into a graphical abstract for journal submission, and because the tool only visualizes my own text, my argument stays intact. It’s a small, concrete way to keep the researcher in control while still gaining some of GenAI’s efficiency.
